Cape Town: Beverley Hui Architects completes Contemporary Farm House in Stellenbosch

This residence was completed in 2013 by Longworth and Faul building contractors and is located in Devon Valley, Stellenbosch near Cape Town. The design employs a rusticated basement clad in genuine sandstone to create a connection to the farm and has the practical function of housing the wine processing plants and farm "outbuildings".  Above, and in contrast to this rustic base are the sweeping horizontal beams and large glazed areas of a modern house.
